Key Responsibilities Include·Procuring materials and services as required by production and spares.·Monitoring the inbound flows of materials and highlight shortages daily. ·Monitor delivery progress with local and overseas suppliers to identify any risk of delay.·Monitor the quality assuranceof all materials purchased. ·Identify and reportto the senior management any potential risk or issuethat could affect project schedules. ·Issue purchase orders to suppliers. ·Inventory auditing to validate actual stock quantities. ·Any other business-related tasks assigned by General Manager. Key AttributesTo be successful in this role you will ideally have:·+5 years'experience in a senior Purchasing or Procurement position. ·Demonstrated skillsand knowledge of purchasing or procurement in a heavy manufacturing. environment with technical knowledge of fuel tank manufacture an advantage.·Knowledge of basic Chinese grade steel materialswith knowledge of electrical and hydraulic hardwarea definite advantage.·Knowledge and application of quality inspection requirements for incoming materials. ·Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Englishand Mandarin. ·Strong negotiation skills and a positive attitude in maintaining current supplier relationships.·Working knowledge in the use of office technology such as MS Office products.·Good analytical and numerical skills.·Good problem-solving skills and attention to details.·Ability to multiple task efficiently and meet deadlines.·Strong ethics, with a proven ability to manage confidential information.
